The Advising Center is Moving!: The Advising Center is moving to Schulz 1125a starting Tues, October 8. We will be closed Fri, October 4 and Mon, October 7 during the transition. 

Sonoma State University takes a shared and student-centered approach to academic advising. Through a partnership between Faculty Advisors and Professional Academic Advisors, we work together to ensure each student has access to the advising and support needed to thrive and persist toward on-time graduation.The Advising Center plays a key role in this, with our team of Professional Academic Advisors. 

The Advising Center provides direct support to:

  • Undeclared students
  • Students declared Pre-Nursing
  • Lower-division students (0-59 units completed) declared:
    • Biochemistry
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Geography, Environment, and Planning
    • Kinesiology
    • Physics
    • Psychology
    • Sociology
  • Student-athletes
