Internet Connectivity Resources

If you do not have access to the Internet off-campus, the following resources are available:

  • Eduroam: You can access hundreds of free, secure WiFi hotspots across the country with your existing Eduroam setup. View a map of hotspots. Get connected to Eduroam.
  • Comcast: offers free WiFi for 2 months to low-income families plus all Xfinity hotspots are free to the public during this time
  • Charter/Spectrum: free Internet offer for 2 months
  • AT&T: offers open hotspots, unlimited data to existing customers, and $10/month plans to low-income families
  • Sprint: provides unlimited data to existing customers, and allows all handsets to enable hotspots for 60 days at no extra charge
  • T-Mobile: offers unlimited data to existing customers, and, coming soon, will allow all handsets to enable hot-spots for 60 days at no extra charge


Sonoma State University students have access to lots of different types of software for free. This includes Adobe Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver(c) CC, Microsoft Office, SPSS, and much more. Check out all of your available to you here. To access the software, log in to Online Services, then click the Software Download button that looks like:
